Physical Unrest

13th February, 2010. 11:58 pm. shopping in this insane weather

So I went shopping today. With an insanely low bank account and a ridiculous bus wait. But I got a pair of dress pants that I badly need (I also need to get them hemmed), a hot new dress shirt (if I'm wearing it to work, I HAVE to wear something underneath it) and a cute new sweater to the tune of 45 dollars total. I also got a pair of ugly but practical shoes for 24 dollars that I may or may not take back. I'm giving myself until Thursday to think about it.

I need to get out and make mischief. I've been single way to long.

Current mood: creative.

17th November, 2009. 12:06 am. hello

Hello.

Been kinda hiding. Am a little sick. Working on a ton of stuff. Willing to be distracted and/or kidnapped... once I'm feeling better.

And one last thing...

RIP, Great Aunt Dell. You were one helluva lady.

I'm okay, really. She was my Grandpa Sherry's (mom's dad) sister, so if you have any prayers to send, send them to him. Please. Thanks.

Current mood: sick.

24th October, 2009. 11:46 am. halloween party

Halloween party at my place. My first one since... oh yeah, ever. Alex, Sarah, me, Lauren, James and Christa, and I think that's about it. Hopefully Sarah's crush too.

Gods, I need to banish certain things.

::headdesk::

So, after the Weekend of the Creeper, the Month from Otherworldly Hell, and life in general there is...

me.

Going shopping to finish my costume, hopefully. Having a hard time with it. Toodles!

Current mood: aggravated.

28th September, 2009. 1:23 pm. computer woes and soup

Computer has been acting RRRRRRRRREAALLLY SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOW. I ran a defrag, now I'm going to run a disc cleanup while I'm at work. I tried to run one yesterday, but it was only forty percent done after four hours, so I think if I let it run while I'm gone, that might work. Then I'll turn Jacqueline (yes, I've named my compy) off overnight and hope for the best.

Making chicken noodle soup today. First time this season. :) I like my chicken noodle soup. I may have to sing my chicken noodle soup nonsense song. Be glad you won't be here to witness it.

Wish y'all were here to share it...

Current mood: accomplished.

14th September, 2009. 2:27 pm. nighttime picnics and heroes

So... adventure was had last night. Sarah Deasy and I headed to Oakland, got take-out, and had a picnic last night in Frick Park. It was lovely. Lots of giggles and good times and posative affirmations. And oh yeah, throwing intentions out into the universe. Good for the soul.

I think I might have seen Jeremy Quinto in his car the other day, but I can't be sure. Anyway, the return of HEROES is right around the corner, so I'm pretty psyched about that!

Got new sneakers, yay. Got new boots again, but I think I'm going to take them back. I'm not liking the fit the more I wear them. Even with an insert. Too bad... ::sigh::

Off to a repetative evening at Rite Aid.

Current mood: hungry.

7th September, 2009. 7:14 pm. back in the 'burgh... again

DC was awesome.  The move went smoothly, and my sister's new place is wonderful.  She showed me some new shopping places, and I scored some wine, a pair of boots, a pair of jeans, a pair of work pants, a new cami, a christmas present, and a candleholder.  I need to go back, man.  It was awesome!

My parents and I drove back yesterday.  They spent the night and made sure I got some shopping and groceries done today.  Which means I scored an awesome new dress, too, and a new pair of trendy red plaid tights.  I need to check finances, but I might be doing some shopping this weekend.  Not sure.

I start teaching again tomorrow....  :sigh::  But Dad also starts his new job!  Yay!

That's all the news that fit to print for the moment.  I'm off to finish dinner, take a walk, do my nails, choose my outfit for tomorrow, finish making the vocab lists, and finish the night off with a soak in the tub.  Toodles!

Current mood: accomplished.

1st September, 2009. 11:52 pm. yesterday and today

Well...

YESTERDAY

I had a long morning at the school, and came home to no water.  Now, I knew that somebody was working on the plumbing and that the water was going to be off until noon-thirty.  IT WAS ONE THIRTY AND THE WATER WAS STILL OFF and I was FILTHY and need to bathe before Rite Aid.

So, I took the jugs of drinking water I had chillin', and washed up with it.  IT WAS COLD.  But at least I was clean.

So then I get to work, and I'm not there an hour, and it's crazy.  We're short-handed.  I'm trying to figure out where this particular set of combs goes, and there's this huge black guy wearing a security guard uniform who is looking at the combs too.  He makes some small talk.  His name is Andre, and he told me that I was beautiful, and wouldn't need any of that stuff.  And could he have my number to ask me out on a date?
.................  I told him he couldn't have my number, as I didn't know him from Adam (I said it way more nicely, of course), but that if he was really interested, he could call the store next week, and try his luck then.  I figure that one date wouldn't be bad... I'm not intrested in him, but still, dating practice?  And you never do know.... but seriously, nope.  Not him.

But we do have a new Rx tech that's super-nice, attentive, and pretty damned cute.  About my age, as far as I can figure.  I think he likes me... he noticed my necklace and complimented me on it.  And responded posatively when I offered to make plans with him next week as to a future date for me cooking him dinner.  Seeing as he lives in my neighborhood and all.... Oh Gods, I did say that I wouldn't date a co-worker... but still.... DAMMIT!

The funniest damned thing happened, though.  The customer who is a drug dealer-- the one that offered me my choice of acid or vallium?-- stopped in to buy cigs and say hi.  I tell him briefly about Andre, and I nearly choked on my laughter when he--- MR DRUG DEALER--- warns me to "Be careful, honey.  There are some psychoes and nasty people out there.  Don't give him your number.  Be careful."  I mean seriously... I guess he'd know!  lol!!!!!!!   The warning was kindly  meant, so he gets brownie points, but I just t hought it amusing that the drug dealer would tell me to be careful.

TODAY

So today brought no water troubles.  The shower felt soooo good.  We got a lot done at the school.  And Rite Aid wasn't terrible.  I  didn't see Andre, so I don't think he's seriously interested.  Which its too soon to tell, I know, but it'sjust as well.  I'm not that keen on him at all.  The man mumbles... I had to ask him to repeat his name twice.  Seriously... no.  Sorry, babe.

So now I'm prepping for the trip down to DC to help my parents move my sister.  I'll be back on Sunday or Monday.  School starts Tuesday.

The Insanity returns.

Current mood: sleepy.
